COVID-19 Response

In light of the global pandemic COVID-19, NuScale has made changes to prioritize the health and safety of our employees and of those with whom we do business because our second-to-none commitment to safety for our technology extends to every aspect of our operations. NuScale is headquartered in Portland, with our main base of operations in Corvallis, Oregon, and is complying with the directive of Oregon Governor Brown, effective March 25, 2020, to facilitate telework and work-at home by employees to the maximum extent possible. Our other offices in the U.S. have also implemented appropriate and similar measures.

NuScale is well prepared to support the information technology needs of our diverse workforce through these challenging times. Like many modern workplaces, we have customers and business partners around the globe who rely on us to be available and ready to support them regardless of geographical location. NuScale continues to maintain strong program momentum and regular engagement with our stakeholders as we conclude the final stage of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission review that will lead to the approval of our groundbreaking small modular reactor (SMR) design in September 2020. We can and will continue to meet our business deliverables while still ensuring the health and safety of our employees.

COVID-19 has not changed NuScale’s ability to conduct business, but rather validated our readiness to implement a carefully thought out remote work plan. We are prepared to support our staff, contractors, suppliers, and business partners using telework for an extended period of time if necessary. Our information technology resources are being delivered, monitored, and protected as appropriate.

Know that the NuScale team holds you and your loved ones in our thoughts and that we will continue to stay in contact with you through our external communication channels. We are all having to make sacrifices and may at times feel a sense of isolation, remember however, that we are all still very much connected and can get through this together.
